I wanted to write this unsolicited letter as a reference for Sir Grout because of the wonderful service I received when they cleaned and regrouted my floors recently.

Our floors had not been professionally cleaned in years. The grout looked dark, and stained in some places. We had even contemplated replacing the tiles because of their age and appearance, but did not due to the amount of work involved.

Last month I visited a neighbor while Sir Grout was refinishing her floors. It was amazing to see the difference in her floors! Because her tile looked so good, I called for an appointment. Brian, the owner of Sir Grout returned my call immediately.

Usually when a company is invited into a home for an estimate, there is the temptation on the part of the company to oversell in order to land a large job. I was happy when Brian said that we could wait on a fairly newly installed bathroom since the grout was in good condition. How refreshing to meet a professional who was willing to work with the homeowner’s budget.

The work was scheduled for 9 AM and I was delighted to see Brady at exactly 9 AM! Having waited endless hours for service people in the past, I truly appreciated his punctuality.

The work done by Brady and Brian was exceptional! They moved furniture carefully, did a magnificent job cleaning and repairing the old grout, and made my floors look brand new! They expected to be done about 3:30, and were completely finished and cleaned up by 3:15. Again, this may seem like a small thing, but time is valuable and it was wonderful to have competent service people who did not disrupt my schedule.

I cannot say enough about the professionalism and quality work of Sir Grout. I plan to have them come back annually to freshen up my tile floors. I recommend them without reservation and will refer my friends. Thanks, Sir Grout, for my beautiful “new” floors!

He also was extremely patient -- I made MANY calls before the service was done, and he never minded answering all my questions. We have had so much trouble with our grout in the past -- we had a contractor come in, remove and re-grout our entire bathroom. It still didn't fix our problem. It was important, therefore, to have the right color grout put in. Like most of us today, we are inundated daily with telephone sales pitches and more ads in our post office box than actual mail. It wasn't always this way but it forces us to be more selective about what we read or even calls to which we chose to listen. Somehow, your mail ad got through to us. Timing certainly makes a difference and we knew or new home needed grout work in our master bathroom.

Despite my wife's suspicions, she accepted the appointment I made for an estimate from Sir Grout. Dan, the owner and all around good guy, gave what I believed to be a reasonable estimate. He also explained the process he would be going through in great detail. One always takes a risk, particularly when time consuming but sensible references are not performed. We took that risk because we have so much on our plate that we haven't even finished unpacking from our first of the year move. Dan also exuded confidence. I was taking a major risk with my marriage but my gamble was rewarded. He showed up on time and spent the entire day, turning down our dinner offer, to complete a job that was bigger than even he expected. He also left the job site cleaner than when he started. We're checking to see if he might be branching into housekeeping!

We followed his instructions on how to treat the grout initially and he even left a bottle of grout to be used on any spots that might have been missed or pop up by accident later. So far, I can only say our "gamble" paid off and I am happy to offer my recommendation for Sir Grout to others seeking his service down the road.

Over 600 square feet of tile (kitchen, hallway, and one bathroom) cleaned. Grout lines were steamed cleaned and stained to match the tile. Stain was a combination stain and color sealer. The owner, Brian, tested several different shades before we agreed on a particular color. He arrived on time, got right to work, and was very professional. Took the time to explain what he was doing.
